Hi my name is Blanche from Canada. I have a 6month old Chihuahua named Rider.
We have had him since he was 3 months old and we love him dearly.
He loves to play games with our bird and the bird runs away from him. Rider
loves to play with him but he has never hurt him.
I have a question I hope that someone can give me some information on. I have
read that these dogs can have tracheal collapse and the last few week every so
often, only at night,Rider will start to chock and when I feel his throat it
feels like it has fallen in on it's self or the rings have collapsed and he is
hacking and hacking and if I talk to him and gently strock his throat then he
stops and he goes back to sleep. It might happen again that night or it might
not. Has any one had this happen to their puppy or dog.
