Thank you Mare, She will live on with me for the rest of my life.. I have had animals all my life, and the pain of the loss of one never goes away. I think we all know what we are getting in too when we have animals, but . I will miss her so much. I will get through this, time does soften the hurt, and lets us remember all the joy instead of the pain. I feel very blessed to have a support group that truly knows and understands what I am feeling.
Smidgen made me a Chi mommy forever.

Please accept my heart full of sympathies for you at this soulful time.
She will live forever in your heart just like my little Star Star does mine.
The pain doesn't really get better but knowing they no longer suffer does help.
Much Love,Mare

I just wanted to take a moment and thank every one for the prayers.. Last night was an awful night. As you all know I took Smidge to the vet in the am. They did the blood test and treated her for her symptoms. I took her home and got her all comfy. Went too work, then came back at my lunch break an hour and a half later. She was about the same when I had left. On my way home stopped at the grocery store to get some baby food, as the doc said to give her some in the evening. Well when I walked in the door, there was blood all over in her pen! I freaked.. It smelled awful..
I called my bf, and he headed home. Called the vet and they were waiting for me.. I did know she wasn't coming back alive. I knew she was in terrible pain, and I felt guilty for her being alone for the rest of the day.
She didn't want to die, they had to give her two 3 injections, 1 tranquilizer and 2 of the injection that stop the heart. She lived almost 5 minutes after the last shot. We brought her home and buried her last night. I will order her grave stone today...
Thank you everyone for your kind words and prayers. It is a great comfort knowing their are other Chi parents out there knowing the love and loss of one of these special babies..

Beth
