Joan, When my son recently passed away, I went to the shelter to find a little friend. I already have one dog, but I just felt that I needed another dog - something to love and hold. I found my little Koby within three weeks. At first I didn't think I loved him; I didn't like his coloring; I thought I'd made a big mistake. Well, now my little Koby is beautiful to me and I do love him very much. He sleeps under the covers making sure some part of his body touches some part of my body. He is now such a vital part of my life. So is my other dog, but he's not so much a cuddler. He's 11 years old and is moving a little slower all the time. Anyway, my point was to ask you to try to convince your friend to get a dog. I don't know of any more affectionate dog than a chi. It will help her so much. Please give her my condolences. Sorry I rambled on so much, Carolyn

I love those little balls of fur! I was talking to one of my friends who just lost her husband three weeks ago. She was saying that after all the immediate stuff that has to be handled that she might look into getting a puppy or a kitten. I told her that if she does come to visit that she will go home wanting to have a Chihuahua when she sees how sweet and loving they can be.
