Those nylabone things are definitely not good either.

Right now mine are getting Beneful Healthy Skin and Coat for the bigger chis.
The tiny ones get Beneful puppy. I add a small tablespoon of Pedigree canned
food.

I feed the Milk Bone Healthy Teeth or some such and again have to get 2
different sizes.

I am ordering some Lipiderm for their coats, some multi-vitamins, again in two
sizes.

During the cold months they do not go out for very long, maybe 15 min. max.,
when it is below 45 degrees.

My vet is very happy with that and I will not change it. Some of the chis are
very sensitive to food changes or even changes in my schedule.

My vet says no bones and sometimes do surgery on even big dogs for eating
chunks of rawhide lodged In stomach.. My small chi Happy that I got in 1995
almost died because of rawhide swelling in stomach.

Mine do not get no bones and very little rawhide.

I had had all the tummy problems that I want.

I would not give my dogs any bones at all and when I mentioned it to my Son,
who is a vet tech, he was amazed a Vet would recommend it. He has done surgery
on too many dogs and cats with ruptured intestines due to bone fragments. That
is what they make toothpaste and toothbrushes for..works fine and no risk.

Now I need a question answered. My vet mentioned giving my chi’s raw chicken
necks and wings to help clean their teeth. Okay, is that safe? I worry about
broken sharp points on the bones. I’ve always gotten big beef bones for them
to chew on, but they could not break the bones.
