He is doing well but I'm getting concerned about one thing - he has to be on rest and when he first came and did a lot of running around he was having two bowel movements a day. Now he has had ONE in almost three days and I'm wondering if anyone has any good ideas about keeping him regular. I put some chia seed in his food this morning and also discovered he likes to eat some dried zuchinni I had dehydrated a couple of years ago - he thinks it's a treat but then he tries to eat paper too! He is VERY quiet - in the week he has been here he has only barked once - a couple of rather weak little yips - he does whine at times in the crate but that's about it. Does this seem unusual? When he is out he WANTS to run around so 4 months of not letting him is going to be difficult but I do have to say he is being very good natured and adaptable about it. The other dogs are getting more used to him slowly. Will try to take a pic and post later on today.
