Dolly pretty much was in the booster seat from the time that she was 9 or 10
weeks old. Desi took his first ride at 8 weeks on the way home from the
breeder – he had never been outside before that day, and he did vomit on the
way home…after that he has been good. I think that it is important that
Charlotte can see out of the window…otherwise she may not understand the fun
that going on a car ride can be. Sometimes I just put Dolly & Desi in the
booster seat and ride to the other end of the community to drop something
off…they don’t care. We get home and they are happy and go running into the
house like they just had the biggest adventure of their life.

Hi Chi lovers....Charlotte tried out her new car seat yesterday (the TagALong
that some of you recommended). It's a short ride to my vet's office (my part
time job) - so it wasn't much of a 'ride' but she got a little antsy ...so I
gave her a bully stick that I give my other dogs when they ride (Liza Jane is a
good rider - Timmy is a hysterical pup in the car - so the bully stick calms
him a teensy bit to get us to the groomer without having a stroke).

I had no trouble with Liza as a baby- she was agreeable with the ride pretty
much right away - but Charlotte seems to get fussy. Is it just continuous car
trips that will make her relax? The bully stick kept her busy for the most
part ...

She is almost 11 weeks old-had another set of vaccinations last night - and a
whopping 2.4 pounds (hoping she stays small - dad was 5 pounds - but mom was a
leggier chi weighing in at about 12 pounds).

P.S. HOW DID I LIVE THIS LONG WITHOUT A CHIHUAHUA?
