Hi Sue,
thanks for the thoughts.

The one thing I feel secure about in this whole mess is the surgeon/hospital. I
completely trust them.
All of the complications that have come up are not really anybody's fault. His
knees are stable and the surgery itself went "perfectly". Everything that has
come up, they have been wonderful in treating him and are really invested in
his complete recovery. I wish there would have been more sedative options, but
I think if it gets to that point again they will have some new ideas.
Even with this latest setback, I think I am thankful that they are going the
conservative route to try to avoid having to redo the entire surgery and start
all over. As long as we can keep George comfortable until the bones heal up
enough, we should be back on the road to a full recovery and great future.
There was no way for anybody to know that George would reject the pins, some
dogs reject any kind of metal put in their body, luckily there is no infection
or migration, just bad inflammation.
It would be horrible at this point to have to go back and start all over again.

Quinn, George and Rylie (who can't wait until her brother can play chase and
wrestle again)
