Yes. They are all very good looking dogs. I have a few people that live here that are vascillating between getting a toy poodle and a Chihuahua.they they decide no dogs because they are in their 70s and have no one to take care of the dogs should they pass away. I met a lady at CVS yesterday that told me she had a Chihuahua and she had to give it away because she couldn't play with it anymore. I told her that I had felt sorry for Dolly after I had my last spine surgeries and so I got her a little brother.and the lady said 'Oh, I wish I would have thought about that' She lives very close to me, but she has spinal problems and said that she has seriously been considering moving to an Independent Living Facility. These little ones can do so much for the disabled or elderly.but sometimes they don't have anyone to help them when they do need help.
Dolly was easy; Desi was stressful.the house was a constant source of yapping and screeching for such a long period of time. Today it is most of the time very harmonious, but I sometimes wonder what would happen if I could have a third dog. Every one is different and the one that I would get could be one that wants to be the alpha, or has been the alpha in another home. I have decided though - after I took Dolly to get her hernia repair - that if something happened to one of them, I would get another one so that there would be a little playmate. It was so sad how Desi moped all day and just wanted me to be holding him the whole day because he couldn't find 'his Dolly'. Me too Joan. I figured that there is always someone in this group looking for a chi, and we have a large number of lurkers, so I am hoping that some one will see it, as well as cross-post and maybe save a life. It would be nice to hear some good news for a change! -------Original Message------- From: Joan Croft <mailto:[email protected]> Date: 1/22/2012 7:54:11 PM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [Chihuahuas] Garland TX Shelter--CHIS Need Out Now! So sad.they are all so darned cute. I wish that I could help but I can only have two and I would like to keep Dolly & Desi! J I sure hope that they can get most, if not all, out of that shelter before they are euthanized.
