Sandra, email them or call, this is a very high kill shelter, but they go out of their way to save as many as they can and they do work with local Approved rescues who can manage transport for the dog. Just call and ask them for the names of rescues that they work with, and then call the rescues and ask them to help you save one. It is worth a try and I feel confident that they will help you. If you don't live in Texas, then call a local rescue and ask them if they would work with a TX rescue to help you save one Let me know if you do, please.
