Gosh, that reminds me... My little toy poodle (1 # too much to be a teacup)
used to catch squirrels and eat them... And also would eat them when they
were nice and 'ripe' if I didn't catch her at it in time!

Actually, I think that raw feeding is more natural for dogs, and probably is
more healthy for them. This is just me.....I can't seem to get past the fear
of a dog choking on a bone, and don't for the life of me understand why they
can't get e-coli and salmonella, and other bacterias from eating raw meat. I
know that wolves even eat mice and don't get sick. I also saw some one post
a video on u-tube and she gave her dogs a dead mouse and a whole rabbit. I
don't think I could stomach feeding that to my dog at all.

oh I just can't stay out of trouble today.... so here is my opinion.

Take chicken out of bag, drop it on the floor, watch your babies eat.....
the end!

The only caution I would give on cooked meals for your dogs, make sure they
are getting the needed amount of calcium.

My Chi is getting ground today, ground cow, ground chicken bones, with
organs added. You would think all of his christmases and birthdays come at
once when I set his bowl down. Oh and he will take down any Dane who comes
too close lol and they don't press the issue after that. Funny to watch
that!

Subject: [Chihuahuas] Question on food

I make what I call doggie stew for my kids. Now I usually use hamburger,
but I have a large amount of frozen chicken drumsticks. I was planning to
thaw and then boil the chicken until the meat falls off the bones. I can
use the broth to flavor my “kids” kibble and then add the meat to my mixed
veggies for a kind of chicken stew. I might even try to see if the cat kids
would like some. Got any advice? Should I add rice or noodles or not?
