Oh Carolyn...sweetie.  {{{HUGS}}}

Such sad news about Joe, I would love to see his photo. He sounds beautiful.

Joe may be scared...not sure about what is going on with his body. He may
also be sensing your fears and worries. By being near you...he is
comforted and so are you.

I would try to enjoy every minute of these days he has left with you. Take
photos, tell him you love him. Tell him it's okay to go.......

What is the right thing to do? No one had answer that question but you.
Some folks take their dogs to the vet for euthanasia. Some allow them to
die at home.

I think what you need to keep in mind...is he in pain? What quality of
life is he living? Still eating? Going potty? Is he calm, at peace...not
suffering great pain. Keep in mind...many dogs will hide pain.

His little body....you can bury it. Or have him cremated...that may be
about $100+.

Please don't hesitate to post your feelings and fears on here. We have all
been in your place. We have all had to make decisions for our beloved pets.

When we can no longer give life......we must give peace.

Reiki and love sent to sweet Joe and you.  {{{HUGS}}}
