I agree with all the previous posts. I have two 8 pound boys. They each get 1 rounded teaspoon of Solid Gold Wee Bits dry food and 1 rounded teaspoon of Blue Buffalo canned food with a half teaspoon of caned pumpkin twice a day. They do get tidbits of people food and a few dog biscuits also. Perhaps there is a Thyroid problem going on? I tried the really high protein foods(like Evo and Blue Buffalo Wilderness) but my boys got constipated. Could it be worms? I would get him checked by the vet and switch gradually to a better quality food. This is just one of many sites that rates foods http://www.dogfoodscoop.com/best-dog-foods-ranked.html. Sue
