Some hump, both males and females, some don't. Paco has a "bride" lol and he will drag her out and spend quality time with her. No other dogs are allowed to touch his bride. If he goes on for hours I will give his bride a rest or if company is over, but otherwise I let him be a dog. Our 3 year old routinely humps his beds. sometimes when he is obsessive about it I will take it/them away but mostly we just ignore it or I distract him to a different activity. It is harmless unless they start going after you or your guests. It is not usually sexual unless maybe it is an un-neutered male. Sometimes I think it just feels good on his little "parts". Our 4 year boy old who does "mark" on occasion never humps anything.
