I know a lot of people here have had small plaques put under a tree in our town park. All the trees that line the town streets have plaques under them of beloved ones. At another park they have a paved walkway, and each brick is inscribed with a loved one's name. It helped people and also help the town for revenue.

OT Hi, My son, David will be gone one year on February 22. I'd like to memorialize him in a "permanent" way and am asking you what you think I can do. Each monthly anniversary, I release helium-filled balloons (one with a "love note stuck inside it), knowing that it will get through the "atmosphere" (!??) and almost all the way to heaven; then he can reach down and grab it!! In my mind, it happens... So, to mark his one year, can you give me suggestions as to how I should commemorate it? Thanks so much. Carolyn
