I had to have 2 of our babies "put to sleep" over the past few years. In both cases the Vet gave a sedative first that very gently put them to sleep and then gave the med to stop the heart. It was very peaceful in both cases. I will agree that it took me several days to stop crying every time I thought about it and a few months to be able to talk about it without tearing up. Give yourself time to grieve. If the vet recommended euthanasia I would feel that it is the right decision; you do not want your little one to suffer. Try not to second guess your decision. Our babies need us to be strong and to advocate for them in life and in death. Sue
