Kathy, I sure hope it is normal because my little black and tan girl has that. Her fur is thick and not too short but she is not a long-haired. I thought the ripples where weird too. I can't see them but I can feel them when I pet her.

I got jo-jo at 8 weeks. he was so tiny I thought he may be a mini, but at 5 mos he was 7 lbs, gained 2 lb per month while getting puppy shots. Now he feels more like 10 lbs. Anyway, my question is: At about 4 mos he started getting ripples on his back. It seems to be in his fur, not on his skin. Is this normal? Thanks in advance. Kathy
