In a wolf pack old dogs are killed by the pack once they lose their value to the pack. That is why they do this. Most people do not have packs of dogs like I do. But I have seen this before when we had 9 big dogs. Breaking up a pack attack by big dogs can be pretty dangerous. I've been bitten a time or two because they wouldn't pay attention to my voice.
