Oh, I didn't know she was a senior. Yes, I have heard of that before and usually it is when you have a mix of different breeds in a pack. I read some where once that if the pack is all of the same breed it is very unusual, and if anything they protect the older one, especially if it was once the pack leader. Such is nature, I guess.
