Most of the dogs we get in the shelter that are on "bite holds" are Husky/Husky mixes. We had a ShihTzu in our FL shelter that actually bit off a woman's earlobe. Our shelter staff had professional trainers come in and work with him for months and teach the staff how to handle him. Sadly he continued to bite and had to be euthanized. I think Chihuahuas get away with biting sometimes because they are so small. I got bitten by a Pittie last week but it was because he and I both reached for a toy at the same time. I do not blame the dog, we were strictly playing and he grabbed my hand along with the toy. He was not being aggressive or guarding the toy. Sue
