Kate, Why are you worried about it? Is there anything wrong with the skin underneath it? It just may be the way his hair grows - like a person who has curly hair versus a person with straight hair.

Jo-Jo has ripples of what I believe is just fur/hair on his back. It is definitely not fat. I have learned through this site that he might be a doxie/chi mix. Would that make a difference?
