That is a good idea bringing another dog to fine Jane Jane. You and your mother were sleeping, but was anyone else there...your wife came home for lunch, or anything else. Have you looked in all the closets in every corner and pile of blankets. I do realize that she would not be able to open the closet and close it, but there could be many places that she snuck into. I have lost both Dolly & Desi several times by them following me into a room. I don't know that they did and then twenty minutes later I can't find them - and I do go into frantic mode. I have found Dolly under the guest room bed; I have found her in the pantry under the bottom shelf smelling everything along the baseboards; I have found Desi in the laundry room - and perhaps the washer or dryer was open and she jumped in unbeknownst to anyone? Sorry...just trying to think of all the places that Dolly & Desi would love to hide. The good thing is that you know she was inside. YOu don't have to worry about her running off somewhere outside. Perhaps you could call the local shelter or animal control and see if they have anything that they can do to help. Perhaps they have a dog that can sniff out another dog; or perhaps they have a psychic that can locate Jane Jane. I am so sad for you adn your family. I pray that Jane Jane is found safe and sound.
