I only take one at a time on hikes. Gabby and Nicky are too small to walk far.
Jewell is too old.. Martha is a typical pug and has some trouble breathing.
That leaves Mary, Cody, Becky and Joy. I take them one at a time so they can
have some individual time with me.

A yes I have to be careful of the wildlife (we have an occasional grizzly, but
mostly black/brown bears). Bull elk, moose or even buck deer in rut can be
very nasty.

I have tried a couple of those bean mixes on my birds too and they love them.
One of their favorites recipes that I make is veggie omelet. I put frozen mixed
veggies in the Processor and grind it up till it is a mush then I add several
eggs to it and beat it some more and scramble it. The dogs go nuts over it as
well!

So what has the temperatures been like in Idaho? The scenery is gorgeous, have
you taken your pack for a hike yet on the trails? I would also imagine that you
have to be careful of the wild life there.

Pam, Crazy Corn is the competitor to Sleek and Sassy. Both are good.
However after 15 or so years of feeding Crazy Corn I thought maybe Libby would
like to try something different.

Mare..I buy the Crazy corn to cook up for my Quaker and he loves it. Different
flavors. But then he loves anything I eat too. I could cook something similar
but I am too darn busy.. lol

Early this morning I went out behind my house and spaded up an area of about 3’
x 5’ to plant into flowers which attract butterflies and hummingbirds. I made
a trip down my road and loaded up the rear of my SUV with rocks. Came back to
my place and used some of the rocks to border the area I just finished spading
up. Raked up the yard the dogs use so it was nice and clean again.

In the afternoon I baked brownies and made a batch of food for my parrot. Its
made of beans of all kinds, corn, rice, etc. Libby loves it.

Between all that I read my Bible, also looked thru the 2012 Old Farmer’s
Almanac that I just received. Worked on the computer to answer emails and
worked out an order to Park Seed for some flower seeds.

So it has been a busy day, but I really feel good because I got something done.
