Oh my......how horrible! I had a baby bird fly up and down at my window
today. Poor thing was dying for something to drink. I live in a apartment
complex and they had the sprinklers running early in the morning, which
brought tons of birds to the lawn for a couple of weeks. Then they changed
the timer and now it waters from midnight to 4am, so the birds aren't
getting any water. A neighbor of mine beat me to it and put out a large bowl
of water, after she saw the bird at my window and sure enough a whole mess
of birds were back and cooling off, including the baby dove. This heat is
very hard on nature to.

Stay cool and take care

Well I thought if I waited late enough it would be a little cooler to take
the girls for a little walk........NOT! It is still 85 at 11PM and now the
humidity
has set in. The air is so thick it is hard to breathe. The poor girls have
been having cabin fever for over a week. We are suppose to have
some t-storms tonight which will cool it off a little, but then back to the
high 90s tomorrow. I was going to take them to the doggie beach today, but
then some one told me that people were leaving because the sand was too hot
for the dogs paws!! Imagine that!!

I heard that some of the midwest states hit 105 degrees....whew!!! That's a
killer!

Sooooo......how is everyone else handling this heat and how are your babies
doing?
