Wow, sorry about the wrist.....bummer that you can't ride too! Guess I won't be taking the girls to the new doggie beach at all this year. They just reported that mosquitos that were caught in the park, were tested positive for West Nile. Shame, it always seems that there is something going on to ruin the fun. Last year we had 4 parks test positive for Lyme disease ticks, then at the beginning of the summer it was Doggie Flu. Guess we will just have to stick to long walks, weather permitting, and forget running off leash anywhere. I HATE BUGS!!!
Raven since you are a horse lover, have you ever seen the old TV series called Wildfire? It's on Hulu and rather cute watching young teens grow up and learn all about horses and responsibilities. Never realized that there was so much work and heartbreak involved in raising race horses. Are horses in general very sensitive to human emotions? This series seems to portray that so much depends on how a rider acts and feels when dealing with horses. They seem to be very sensitive and emotional, and unpredictable animals. Is that really true or is this TV series blown out of proportion? Just wondering...... -------Original Message------- From: Raven Date: 7/8/2012 11:32:00 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [Chihuahuas] How is everyone doing with the heat wave?? It was in the 90's to 100's ...for ten days here. Finally broke yesterday, down to the 80's. Ii was so nice to turn the AC off. I fell and broke my left wrist on June 26th, stepping out of my horse trailer's tack room onto a step stool...that moved/slid under the horse trailer. :( So, I've been stuck at home in the AC hanging out with the girl doggies. No horseback riding for a few weeks....that's depressing. Being home with the girls...really made a huge difference with Hazel, my most recent rescue. Every day I see a bit more of her personality. :) Every one stay cool and kiss your babies.
