I know, I can't understand how any dog could swallow something that long either. I once saw the same thing with another dog who tried to grab roast beef off of a cutting board and the butchers carving knife fell straight down his throat that you could barely see it in his mouth. They had to hold the dog straight up until they reached the Vet. The Vet met them outside and immediately gave the dog a shot to knock him out so he couldn't move. The dog never bled and they removed it the same way. Wild!
