I got a new chi…female, fixed….took almost 3 months to train her not to pee on
our bed. Takes patience and training.

Nope. They ones here policy is they give you a discount to get the dog fixed
and if you don’t they will fine you. They will follow up too.

I am surprised that they released him without neutering first, as I thought
that was their policy. Maybe he is a wee pad or a newspaper pad dog. Peeing on
the couch is unacceptable. Guess you will have to confine him and totally
re-train him. Stays usually do have to be re-trained. They forget, and then
they are basically taught to pee in a cage, when they are in a shelter cage,
since they are not walked or moved to a different area. If he is under two then
you should be able to unconfuse him by re-training him. He should train within
a month at his age. LOL, the fun of puppies!!

He jumped on the couch and wet on it. and he has pooped in the floor in
the living room in the same spot twice. I couldn't take him
outside today after we got home with him, it was raining. he hasn't
been neutered but we plan to soon. when he wet on the couch he didn't
lift his leg up. they said at the humane society he was about a year
old. Robert
