They have found several West Nile mosquitoes in my town. At the beginning of the month they found them a couple of towns away. Now they are saying that there has been multiple findings within a four town radius. So Monday night they are doing an aerial spraying for the four town areas. The landlord, had gardeners here yesterday and they did an extra clean up everything. They finally took out the dead tree stumps from last year's hurricane. They did a super clean up of all weeds especially by the back fence that borders the garden complex, they filled in any small concave holes out on the front side walks, and at the end of the driveways. They cleaned out all the gutters again too. All of which can harbor mosquitoes. The guys said they were bitten up like crazy while cleaning. So they also sprayed the entire back back fence area which has an empty lot behind it. I am glad to see that they are taking this West Nile scare seriously and making sure that the tenants are as safe as they can be. They did have a human case of it in NJ the other day.
