Agreed. Even though mine theoratically are "trained" I don't ever risk it. They are on leash between the car and the house..always. Even within the fenced area, they are watched..for predators and the fact that they could escape if motivated. Responsible parenthood..

Pets shouldn't be allowed to "roam". I agree with the never off the property answer. If you have no fenced area than the dog shouldn't be allowed out off leash. This is asking for a disaster. I leash my dogs to go from the car to my front door. I know of too many horror stories to allow them yo go off anywhere on their own.
