Yes mainly with exotic animals. Some rules have changed for dogs, depending
upon where they come from and where they are destined. I know that the UK
and Canada have changed there rules for dogs, usually as long as you meet
all the requirements the dog doesn't have to be quarantined anymore, but if
you miss one requirement they take the dog. The rules are very strict. Not
sure about a dog coming from Italy though. In the UK, it is mandatory the
dog is flown in cargo. I know a lot of show people will hire a private
airway to fly them here to show there dogs here at the AKC show, rather then
risk cargo.

You know that gives me an idea, she can call AKC in Manhattan and ask how
people fly them here.

There used to be a quarantine period to bring animals into the United
States. I do not know what the laws are now.

I am pretty sure you have to call the airlines and they will tell you all
you need. That is what I did. I had no problems. Where in the US are you
coming? Evelyn
