My Poncho also has allergies. He would get a terrible croup cough that would 
start without warning. I eventually had allergy testing on him. He had numerous 
things he was allergic to. 
He went on allergy shots once a month and did very well. A few months ago they 
came out with a oral medication to replace the shots. So far he is doing well.
