The article on the Vet exam said he checked his testicles.

I raised five assistance dogs for an organization and they never put an intact
dog out.  I can't see having one because if a male runs into a female in heat
nature may override training.  Males would also tend to be more dominate (not
always)and assistance dogs should be very submissive.  People with a handicap
don't usually have the strength/ability to control a dominate dog.  If you are
training your own assistance dog you will know your ability to control it
though.

Where did you see a pic of his other half? On the news article I only see his
head and the full body pic is a side profile.

It's obvious if that dog was that vicious, the woman would never had made it
from the yard to inside her house without being mauled to death. He is a huge
dog, and why do I
have this feeling that this woman has done this before? I bet that is why Dutch
couldn't take it anymore. She ought to be thanking God she wasn't mauled. Just
based on that, the Judge and Animal Control are As__ses. Makes me mad.

Could someone please explain why this woman isn't being charged with animal
cruelty when she has clearly admitted she beat the dog without any provocation
from the dog?

If that were me, I would find some one else to hide the dog and save his life.
Tell the morons that the dog ran away and let them prove other wise.  FB said
that the owner lives in Oklahoma, so why is Colorado charging the dog with a
death sentence, and how can CO put the owner in jail for not surrending the dog
when he doesn't even live there? Dumb laws as usual!
