I went to my local SPCA here in northern CA. No purebred Chi's. a couple of chi
mixes. I felt sorry for them but nothing really had me wanting to take one
home. Minnie was at the Sacramento City Shelter, a kill shelter. I saw her and
for whatever reason there was a connection. I looked over all the the small
dogs in the shelter and came back to Minnie. She was scared but finally came to
the chain link and let me pet her. That's when I knew for sure she was the one
I wanted to play with. We hit it off very well. When she saw Mickey, that was
it. I knew we were taking her home. Mickey and Minnie played very well together
and have been best pals ever since.
