Reputable breeders have Chis knees and hips OFA'd so unfortunatly a dog from a BYB often has medical problems like hip displaysia, luxating patellas, or trachea issues. If someone claims their dog is OFA'd you can double.check on the website, it is open info.

My Taylor has collapsing trachea and this won't get near that area. Right now his right rear leg (knee) is bothering him. I have know he has luxating patella on both back knees so will be taking him to the vet to see if anything needs to be done. I have had many Chihuahuas in the past and none of them had these conditions. What is the cost? Can you still get them on Ebay? Thanks, Linda From: Robert <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Friday, April 26, 2013 8:49 AM Subject: [Chihuahuas] Re: harness I too harness my Chi, also named Minnie, with a step-in harness that I bought off of ebay a couple of years ago. Its called a Buddy Belt, and I've included the link below. I purchased it off of ebay because finding a local retailer proved very difficult. The harness is secured more around the front legs than other harnesses I've seen to reduce the pressure on the chest and throat. The harness is made in Canada and extremely well made, with quality leather and stainless steel buckles and rivets. The downside is that these are considerably more expensive than most other harnesses that I've seen, however I've been using Minnie's BB for the past two years and it should be good for many more years as well. Good luck with any new harness that you purchase. http://buddy-belts.com/ --- In [email protected], whiterabbit32 <whiterabbit32@...> wrote: > > Step-in harnesses are great. Easy on, easy off.
