I think you are exactly right..but then you have to accept them for what they are. I think Hubby is a bit disappointed because he wanted a mushy little girl but perhaps if he would waited longer and fostered as planned, he would have found out her temperament..smile

It's good that she bonded to Valentino. Guess that is what she feels she needs the most. She does not do any lap sitting ever..will curl up next to you..and come up for quick pets here and there..but more a pack dog. She and Valentino have really bonded and sleep together in the crate at night and there is endless cleaning of eyes and ears. But she is a very good natured dog, house trained, smart, is not barky, and no trouble so it could have been worse.
