Emiliano's coat is long and thick. Yet, I only brush him once a week or so.
People can't believe he is low maintenance. The only thing that's a problem is
blowing him dry after a bath, that does take a while.

I did. I'm seriously thinking of switching breeds. However, I've been
collecting yorkie & schnauzer stuff for 30 years. I'm not sure I have room for
all the Chihuahua stuff. They are certainly a lot less maintenance as far as
grooming goes. Until about 2 yrs ago my little yorkie Willow was in full coat
complete with topknot. I spent more time on her daily grooming than I did on my
own! Now both are in puppy coats but that still requires clipping every couple
of months, plus the same thing for the schnauzer to not look like a sheep.
These Chis are a piece a cake! Even Stella's long hair. Yup, I'm bitten.
