If it's about disks and weird formats (even with different speed zones like 
the Mac 800K disks), check the "Catweasel floppy controller" on 
www.jschoenfeld.de. It uses standard disk drives for all the disk types 
supported. If something is not supported, it's only a matter of software to 
implement them. C64, Mac and Amiga disks are no problem in standard 1.44M 
or 1.2M drives.

This is not a joke, the controller exists since 1996. DOS and Linux drivers 
available, new Windows drivers are in the works.
