"instantly search over 310,000 electronic components from more than 300
leading manufacturers"

That statement alone pretty much identifies it as DigiKey's inventory.
Those are very close to the numbers that they are tossing around in their
advertising these days.

HOWEVER, don't let that put you off. I have long found that DigiKey is an
excellent source of data sheets and design information. Get yourself
registered as a user there and login when you connect. No need to mess with
NTB (which is a great rag).

Their parts search engine is good. When you find the part you want, just
follow the links. Almost all parts have a basic data sheet available at
DigiKey or just follow the link to the manufacturer's web site. Very useful
tools for getting your hands on parts "footprint" information, etc. when
doing detail design work.

Kudo's to DigiKey. Someone has made an enormous investment in assembling
this information and it is most useful. I've almost gotten to the point
that if I can't find it in the DigiKey catalogue, I don't include it in my
prototype design.

Does anybody else remember when their "catalogue" was a single sheet of
full-size newsprint folded into four pages and it included little more a
listing of TTL part numbers? Or when "-ND" really meant something?
