Hello again,

I put this mail on some lists of electronic-interested people and I am amazed about an overall unexpected thread in all lists.

As some people are also getting curious, I took some more, better pictures with the tube outside of the bin ( protection against lost Hg if it breaks ) .

I got some excerpts out of a tube technology book from Sture in Sweden, I put it online for those who are curious.

Only - and most interesting problem- the tube I have has only two electrodes at all.
All info on Senditrons shows at least one, in most cases two other electrodes.

External ignition seems to be difficult, one would need pretty high strength electric fields.

Well, discussion welcome.

All, old and new Pics are here

Keep in touch.

PS: I will also ask this question on the tubecvollector´s list which I did not know yet

If something new shows up, I will write a summary.

Have a nice day

Jan
