Hello, maybe this is a bit off-topic but who knows :-)
This is a question for all those interested in history of tubes and technology. I have a strange tube here of totally unknown use: Its length is approx 10 cm, looks like a letter "H" with one electrode at the bottom of each leg and quite some mercury. Its NOT a switch, there is not enough mercury in it to cover both electrodes at once in any possible position. so it must be something else... pics at http://www.wuesten.net/strange/senditron1.jpg http://www.wuesten.net/strange/senditron2.jpg Whats written on it: There is a small stamp on it saying "Senditron" ; ...wter ( disturbed, illegible beginning of a word ending with "wter" ) and a datecode 4 /65 plus a single letter "D" nothing else. Anybody having an idea what this is, what it might be good for and who might have made it ? Its a nice piece in my tubecollection and I always like to know what I collect :-) Thank you Jan mit freundlichen Gruessen---best regards----cordialement Jan Wuesten Frag'Jan Zuerst -----Ask Jan First Dipl.
