Hi all!

I have dug out an Omron C40K-CDR plc out of a strange device. It will
not communicate and will not function.

Manufacturer backup and machine knowledge are absolute zero. No
drawings, or description of what the machine does exist. But I do
have an eprom with the program from the plc which can be read. I have
read it in via an eprom programmer.

I need to get this program into an Omron plc of a later date - a
CPM1A-40CDR. What I need to access is someone with a working C40k (or
larger - e.g. C60K) plc, interface and software.

I would e-mail the eprom contents. They would have to load this in a
memory chip, and put it in their C40K or similar plc. Then they could
upload the file, and print it. Apparently Omron's software is so limited
this is the only way things can be done. With a fax of the printout, I
could program up the new one.

There is no problem paying for this service. Any takers?

Failing that, any suggestions? My best other option is to get a C20K
from Omron uk (All they have available) and hope it won't barf on a C40K
program which adresses legs it doesn't have :-o. That's happening in
parallel, btw. Meanwhile it's the usual hassle - production stopped, and
a company bleeding to death.

Failing something, I'll have to lay in reverse engineering a machine
nobody has a clue about. This is always a major pain, and slow to boot.
