If you are really interested in Bluetooth there is a chip from CSR
(Cambridge Silicon Radio) which is used in many devices, I suggest you
look at the datasheet for this. As a possible source for one off devices
it may be possible to remove the chip from an existing product you can
get a USB-Bluetooth dongle for less than 20GBP.

Good luck

I don't have experience developing R/F but wanted to try my hand at a
Bluetooth project and was wondering if anyone out there could point me
in
the direction of an inexpensive source of Bluetooth components. I was
thinking of doing some home automation just to get into it. I don't have

access to distributers where I can get small quantities of parts so I
would
really appreciate some insight into this area.

Thanks in advance!
