I thought I'd mention that this was solved. The guy is up and running.
The C20K plcs did not actually read a C40K program, but returned an
error. Thanks anyhow Tatam. It transpired that someone had also pulled
the 'Frankenstein trick' on the eprom and reversed the polarities :-(.
This was either myself or one of the Omron agents here.
Persuing a number of simultaneous lines, I took the Omron agent who
supplied me the new plc by the throat and demanded "Who in this country
might have one of these old plcs?" He said: "I think we have a C60K" :-)
The other Omron guy here managed to give me a listing after a number of
false starts. But I had to pay for the false starts (Well actually, the
customer did :-) So I have a program listing, new plc, and a .swp file
as backup, which loads into Omron's plc software.
