I wouldn't worry about it since if your grounds are in common Anyway, the possibility for ground loops already exists. It would be better to run possible external ground loop currents though the metal case than thru the traces on the circuit board. Professional audio standards are for all shields to be connected to the case... but they also expect balanced/differential signals coming in and going out, transformer isolated if necessary.
