I used your method and the messages were 'bus error'
and 'unimplemented trap' with extensions turned off.
Thus ends the diagnostic effort. If anybody comes
across an affordable logic board for a Pb 3400, you
know where to find me! Of if you need a slightly sick
3400 (with a lot of extras), ditto.
