This may sound silly, but are you sure the RAM card (if present) is seated properly? it pops up very easily, a drop could do it, and a slight unseating would cause those bombs at startup.

then again it also could easily be the logic board.

If there are a lot of extras for it, perhaps ebay. People sometimes buy whole broken computers for a part, such as the CD drive which is semi-hard to get otherwise.
