Astec AA9090A power supply

I have an Astec AA9090A power supply, like the one you can buy from Hosfelt or Jameco.  It is a power supply for an older laptop computer, and I wanted to know what type of battery it charges (NiCd or NiMH, and mA/H charge rate). I have the one page spec sheet from Jameco, but it does not give this info.   Thanks, Brad
