Subject: Re: Astec AA9090A power supply

Unless you have some very strange laptop the power supply furnishes raw DC to the laptop down converter which charges the lap top battery. The laptop determines what kind of battery is used, not the plug in the wall power supply.

I have an Astec AA9090A power supply, like the one you
can buy from Hosfelt or Jameco.  It is a power supply for
an older laptop computer, and I wanted to know what type
of battery it charges (NiCd or NiMH, and mA/H charge
rate). I have the one page spec sheet from Jameco, but it
does not give this info.

Thanks,
