Issue 3120: About: pages dragged from Most Visited to Desktop show junk characters http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=3120
Comment #1 by bksening: [Confirmed] And this is not only the about: pages. This is the same for any Most Visited page thumbnail dragged to any folder. Expected result: What is the expected result anyway? The original comment expects that dragging the thumbnail will create a shortcut to that webpage which can be later clicked to go back to that page. Interestingly, dragging the thumbnail displays the outline with the "shortcut" arrow graphic, which implies a shortcut will be created. Actual result: You don't get a shortcut created, but rather an actual file with an ".htm" extension. The "junk characters" that are displayed are the contents of a JPEG which is the picture of the thumbnail that was dragged. Rename the .htm extension on the created file to .jpg and you can see the original thumbnail. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
