Issue 3977: Problem Loading PDF files Using Adobe Reader 9 and Chrome 0.3.154.9 http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=3977
New issue report by dianalynn7: Chrome Version : 0.3.154.9 URLs (if applicable) : http://pages.stern.nyu.edu/~adamodar/ Other browsers tested: Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue: Safari 3: N/A Firefox 3: N/A IE 7: OK What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Go to home page for NYU's Stern School's Dr. Aswath Damodaran 2. Click on "classes and support" link on left sidebar menu 3. Click on "valuation (short executive version)" 4. Click on "dealing with R&D expenses" What is the expected result? A 25-page pdf entitled "Research and Development Expenses Implications for Profitability Measurement and Valuation" should open. What happens instead? Either 1.Adobe Acrobat plug-in crashes entirely (see attachment for screenshot) or 2. Adobe Acrobat Reader (I am using version 9.0.0) states the following: "There was an error opening this document. This file cannot be found." Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible. Sometimes same the pdf file opens without a problem--no crashes or error messages. It just opens as it should. Sometimes I could open it by right clicking and using "open in tab" option instead of clicking on the link. Sometimes I will successfully open a pdf file. Close it, only to try to reopen it a few minutes later and will get the error message that the file couldn't be found (even though I just had it opened).
