Issue 4508: Diacritics characters are displayed bigger than normal characters http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=4508
New issue report by octavian.costache: Chrome Version : 0.3.154.9 URLs (if applicable) : http://www.vivi.ro/politica/despre.php Other browsers tested: Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue: Safari 3: FAIL Mac Safari 3: OK Firefox 3: OK IE 7: kindof OK What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Go to http://www.vivi.ro/politica/despre.php 2. Notice the size of "ș" and "ț", they are disproportionate compared to the rest of the characters. What is the expected result? Letters with diacritics should be the same size as the 'normal' ones. The reported page font is Georgia, but the same behavior is seen with the default Times New Roman font where the problem is worse (that's why I had to switch to Georgia). What happens instead? Letters with diacritics are larger than expected. Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible. I've attached how that page is seen under Mac Firefox. On the mac all browsers show it correctly. Let me know if you want me to attach screenshots of Chrome or FF misbehaving.
